Wild Guns Overview
Wild Guns is a third person shooter that blends Western and science fiction elements. Players select one of two gunslingers, Clint or Annie, who become involved in a conflict starting in Carson City.
The core gameplay involves simultaneously controlling a character's movement on screen and an independent aiming reticle. This setup requires managing both positioning and targeting to shoot enemies while avoiding their projectiles. The action progresses through six main stages, each containing three segments culminating in a boss encounter.
Levels such as an ammunition depot, a gold mine, and an armored train can be tackled in a non linear order after the initial area. Player capabilities include a standard weapon that can be temporarily enhanced, and bombs that cause widespread destruction to both foes and the interactive environment. A two player cooperative mode is available for the main campaign.
In addition to the primary campaign, a separate shooting gallery mode exists where the objective is purely to achieve a high score without risk of failure. The game's structure and dual control scheme create a challenging experience focused on constant evasion and precise shooting.
