Solid Runner Overview
Solid Runner is a science fiction role playing game set in a futuristic metropolis called Solid City. The player assumes the role of a private investigator named Shuu, whose personal quest for vengeance after a mob related murder drives the narrative forward.
Gameplay is divided between two primary modes. Navigation and interaction with the city and its inhabitants occur from a top down perspective, using a map to travel between locations. When conflicts arise, the perspective shifts to a third person view for turn based mecha combat.
Progression is mission based, with Shuu undertaking assignments to confront the criminal gangs controlling the city. Completing these missions provides resources used to modify and upgrade his combat mecha in specialized shops, allowing for changes to its limbs and weaponry.
