"Snow White in Happily Ever After" is a side-scrolling platformer that continues the fairy tale's narrative. The plot involves Lord Maliss, the brother of the deceased evil Queen, who transforms Snow White's Prince into a creature called the Shadow Man. Players can control either Snow White or this transformed Prince as they progress.
The objective is to navigate eight levels, overcoming platforming hazards and adversaries to defeat Maliss's magic. Players collect fruit and stars while traversing, using apples both as projectiles against enemies and as tools to break certain blocks. A heart icon on screen represents the player's health, which is reduced by enemy contact, falling into pits, or taking high falls. Losing all health costs one of three lives.
Gameplay includes mechanics where precise platforming is required, as characters can lose balance and fall if they move too near a platform's edge.
