Hyper V-Ball Overview
Hyper V-Ball is a side-view volleyball simulation adapted from the arcade title Power Spikes. Movement for directly controlled players is restricted to the horizontal axis.
Three distinct leagues are available for play: Men's, Women's, and a Hyper League featuring robotic competitors. The control scheme utilizes two primary buttons, with one dedicated to initiating Hyper Plays. These special attacks are exclusive to the Hyper League and must be learned within it.
On-court actions such as blocks and attacks are determined by the ball's velocity and the positioning of the athlete. Teammates operate with a degree of autonomy, moving into place and setting up for spikes without direct input. However, they will not attempt to block opposing spikes independently; this action requires the player to press a button at the precise moment to command a non-controlled player to block.
