Cosmo Gang: The Puzzle Overview
Cosmo Gang: The Puzzle is a block-matching game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. While it shares its title with Cosmo Gang: The Video, it represents a distinct experience within the same franchise.
The core activity involves arranging falling block pieces to form complete horizontal lines, which then disappear. The challenge is intensified by two special block types that appear among the standard pieces. One type, the Cosmo Gangers, acts as an obstacle that hinders line completion. The other, attack blocks, serve to remove these obstructive characters and provide a significant point bonus when used for this purpose.
Failure occurs when the stack of blocks reaches the top of the playfield. The game's pacing is challenging, as the descent speed of new pieces increases in direct relation to how high the existing stack has risen, applying greater pressure as the player's situation becomes more precarious.
