Araiguma Rascal Overview
Araiguma Rascal is a Super Nintendo puzzle game adapted from its anime counterpart. Its core mechanics involve the player directly controlling the raccoon character Rascal to arrange falling items.
Progress is achieved by stacking items in lines, either vertically or horizontally. When three or more identical items are aligned, they are removed from the playfield. This action fills a gauge displayed at the screen's bottom, and completing the gauge results in clearing the stage.
The design shares similarities with other tile-matching puzzle games, notably in its control scheme where the player character manipulates the pieces. Multiplayer options include both cooperative and competitive two-player modes using the same puzzle mechanics, with a second player controlling Sterling. A separate two-player race mode tasks each participant with navigating a course while moving obstacles.
