Nekketsu Tairiku: Burning Heroes Overview
Nekketsu Tairiku: Burning Heroes is a Japanese-style role-playing game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The player selects one of four initial protagonists, each beginning a separate journey driven by personal motives. These include a fighter seeking to outdo his father, a treasure hunter drawn to wealth and adventure, a man investigating a loved one's disappearance, and an armored warrior burdened by significant debt.
The narrative eventually converges as these characters discover a shared objective. During exploration, four additional characters can be found and added to the party. Combat uses a turn-based system viewed from a third-person perspective, where encounters with random enemies and bosses occur.
A defining mechanic involves a "passion" gauge that fills as characters sustain damage in battle. When this meter reaches its maximum, a powerful monster can be summoned to attack all foes at once.
