Surging Aura Overview
Surging Aura is an anime-styled Japanese role-playing game for the Sega Genesis. Its narrative centers on Prince Muu of Pasfelda, whose homeland is assaulted by monsters during a ceremony. A desperate royal wizard's cursed magic summons the demon Rufid, who defeats the prince. Muu is then teleported to a distant village by a mysterious force, marking the start of his journey.
The combat system blends turn-based and real-time elements. Encounters with regular foes are random and viewed from a first-person perspective. Similar to some contemporary titles, the battle flow is challenging as enemies will continue their assaults even when the player is not issuing commands. Story progression is illustrated through full-screen anime artwork used in cutscenes.
