Formula One Overview
Formula One is a licensed racing title for the Sega Genesis featuring eight international circuits, ranging from easy to challenging tracks set in countries like Japan, Australia, and several European nations. Players complete races of 4, 8, or 12 laps in either a single-player arcade style or a structured championship mode.
The two primary modes offer distinct approaches to the season. Arcade play permits racing on any circuit in a freely chosen sequence, while Grand Prix requires progressing through the tracks in a set order, though individual events can be skipped. Before a Grand Prix race, car adjustments are available, a detail not mentioned for the Arcade option.
Support for one or two players allows for direct competition. The core objective across both modes remains consistent: finishing the required number of laps on the selected course.
