F-15 Strike Eagle II Overview
F-15 Strike Eagle II is a combat flight simulation set across multiple real world conflict zones, including Vietnam and the Persian Gulf. The player pilots an F-15 fighter, tasked with eliminating both airborne and stationary targets over vast distances.
An array of weaponry is available for these missions, ranging from a standard cannon to specialized missiles for engaging targets at different ranges. The simulation offers numerous visual perspectives of the aircraft, and includes features to assist inexperienced players, such as automated flight procedures and the option to prevent crashes. The enemy provides a responsive challenge, though a targeting computer offers an advantage.
Unique to the experience are Director's Modes, which briefly shift the view from the cockpit to show key events happening in the wider battlefield. These cinematic cuts can display enemy defenses activating or the results of a successful missile strike.
