David Crane's Amazing Tennis Overview

Alt. Names: アメージングテニス

David Crane's Amazing Tennis is a sports simulation for the Sega Genesis. It offers two primary ways to play: a single match exhibition and a larger tournament bracket for sixteen competitors. The game's roster consists of fictional athletes, though it carries an endorsement from the Footlocker brand.

Before a match, participants can select from three court surfaces: grass, hard, or clay. A player also chooses whether their character is left or right handed. Opponents have rankings, with higher ranked ones presenting a challenging match compared to lower ranked ones.

On the court, the player currently serving is positioned closer to the screen for clarity. A variety of shot types are available, including topspin, slices, lobs, volleys, drop shots, and overhead smashes. Strategic serving is part of the gameplay, with the option to use either a hard or soft serve to disrupt an opponent's rhythm.
