Cannon Fodder Overview
Cannon Fodder is a top-down action game with strategic elements, where players manage a squad of soldiers through numerous combat scenarios. Control is indirect, with players selecting individual soldiers or groups to issue movement and firing commands.
Mission objectives vary, and the environment plays a significant tactical role. Terrain such as trees can provide concealment for both the player's units and opposing forces, while controlling bridges is often a key consideration since soldiers cannot fire their weapons while in water.
In addition to standard firearms, soldiers can utilize heavier ordnance like grenades and rockets, which are effective against structures, vehicles, and enemy formations.
