Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu is a side-scrolling fighting game where the player controls the martial artist Jackie Chan. His mission is to pursue a sorcerer who has abducted his sister Josephine and aims to dominate China, battling various enemies along the way.
Gameplay involves moving through levels, confronting foes such as frogs, ninjas, and birds. The control scheme uses one button for jumping and another for attacks, which can be combined with directional inputs to perform special moves. These include a Tornado attack, spin kicks covering 180 or 360 degrees, and a Sky Attack.
