Bible Buffet Overview
Bible Buffet combines trivia and board game mechanics on the NES. Players progress by spinning a spinner to move spaces, encountering various types of spaces that trigger different events.
Landing on a standard space initiates an action mini game where points, weapons, or health can be earned. Special spaces alter movement; some force an additional spin, while others teleport the player forward or backward along a connected path. A final score is calculated from points, collected items, and performance in the trivia segments.
The spinner can also yield special symbols instead of a number. A book icon triggers a three question Bible quiz, while happy and sad faces result in random beneficial or detrimental effects, such as advancing spaces or losing a turn. Answering all three questions in a quiz correctly awards a star, which factors into the end game bonus.
Victory is determined by reaching the end point first, but the concluding bonus also considers which player accumulated the most quiz stars and collected the most food items.
