Adventures of Lolo 2 continues the puzzle based gameplay of its predecessor. The player controls Lolo, a spherical blue character, whose objective is to rescue a princess held captive in a tower by antagonistic forces.
Progress is made by solving spatial and logic puzzles within individual rooms. These challenges involve manipulating environmental elements, such as pushing blocks and collecting heart items. Players must also manage threats from various enemies that can both pursue Lolo and fire projectiles. A specific mechanic allows for the transformation of green dragons into harmless eggs.
