WWF King of the Ring is a licensed wrestling title for the Game Boy. Its roster includes eleven competitors, though two of them, Bam Bam Bigelow and The Undertaker, are not present in this portable version. Players can also construct a custom wrestler by assigning specific attribute values.
Matches can be contested in several formats, including standard one-on-one bouts, championship fights, tag team contests, and a dedicated tournament mode. All characters utilize an identical move set, which encompasses basic strikes, throws, and aerial maneuvers from the turnbuckle. No wrestler has access to unique signature techniques.
Character performance is governed by three personal statistics: strength, speed, and stamina. These individual attributes differentiate the fighters within the shared mechanics of the game.
