Terminator 2 : Judgment Day Overview
Terminator 2: Judgment Day for the Game Boy is a rail-shooter adaptation of the film. Players control reprogrammed Terminators, fighting through levels that alternate between a future war against Skynet and a present-day mission to protect the Connors.
The primary weapon is a machine gun that can overheat with sustained fire, while a secondary weapon like a missile launcher or shotgun offers more power but has limited ammunition. Items such as coolant for the gun and extra ammo appear in the environment and must be shot to be collected.
Level progression begins in a post-apocalyptic future before shifting to the past for the latter half of the game. The final confrontation involves a battle against the T-1000, which uses digital stills of actor Robert Patrick. Audio from the film, including Arnold Schwarzenegger's voice, is incorporated where possible.
