Faceball 2000 Overview
Faceball 2000 is a first-person shooter where the player navigates through a series of mazes. The visual presentation uses basic geometric corridors and enemies, all of which are simple shapes adorned with smiley faces.
Players assume the role of a unit designated as a H.A.P.P.Y.F.A.C.E., an acronym for Holographically Assisted Physical Pattern Yielded For Active Computerized Embarkation. The game offers two distinct modes. One involves a solo campaign with seventy levels where the objective is to locate an exit. The other is a multiplayer arena supporting connections between up to four linked Game Boy systems.
Despite the graphical simplicity, the game provides a full range of movement within its environments. This freedom of navigation is a noted characteristic of the gameplay experience.
