Funny Field Overview
Funny Field is a puzzle game where players navigate a grid to flip tiles under time pressure. The core mechanic involves flipping tiles manually, with the action also triggering a chain reaction to flip all tiles between the player's position and any other already flipped tile.
The playfield contains various obstacles, including stationary blocks, blocks that can be pushed or kicked, and holes. Enemy monsters with distinct behaviors patrol the grid; contact with them or letting the timer expire costs a life. These enemies can revert flipped tiles, and some can manipulate blocks or destroy tiles. They can be eliminated by pushing them off the playfield or into holes, or by trapping them. Defeated monsters eventually respawn through several phases, including an egg form that can be used as a weapon against other foes.
Strategic block management is central. Pushing a block into a corner makes it vanish, yielding power-ups such as bonus points, additional time, or a temporary stun for all enemies. Another tactical option involves using stunned enemies positioned on a row of multiple flipped tiles as a weapon. The game presents a challenging balance of tile-flipping efficiency and enemy avoidance, as flipped tiles remain in their state even after a life is lost.
