Dexterity Overview
Dexterity is a puzzle game where the player must flip all tiles on a grid before time expires. The core mechanic involves flipping tiles in rows or columns when another already flipped tile is present, creating chain reactions. The playfield contains various obstacles, including immovable blocks, blocks that can be pushed, and holes.
Enemy monsters patrol the grid with distinct behaviors, and contact with them results in a lost life. These adversaries can undo flipped tiles and, in some cases, manipulate blocks or destroy tiles. They can be eliminated by pushing them off the playfield or into holes, or by trapping them. Defeated monsters eventually respawn in stages, and during an early "egg" phase, they can be used as a weapon against other enemies.
Strategic block management is central. Pushing blocks into corners converts them into power ups, which may grant bonus points, extra time, or temporarily stun all enemies. A life is also lost if the timer reaches zero, though any progress in flipped tiles is retained. The interplay of tile flipping, enemy evasion, and environmental manipulation makes the overall experience challenging.
