Cyraid Overview
Cyraid is a game where the player controls either Warrior or Fighter to rescue their mother Natasia from an evil scientist. This antagonist operates from a fortress called Cyraid, from which he attempts to conquer Earth.
Progress is made through four distinct stages, each composed of many rooms. The player interacts with the environment by breaking blocks and moving ladders to find energy pods. Collecting these pods reveals the exit to the subsequent room. The journey is challenging due to enemies that remove a life upon contact.
Various items can be collected to aid the player. These include extra lives and upgrade pods that grant new abilities, such as increased movement speed, the power to destroy tougher blocks, a jump function, and missile weaponry. Periodically, a large rock monster appears to restore previously destroyed blocks, creating a hazard if the player is in its path.
The stages offer some nonlinearity through alternative routes and conclude with boss encounters. A password system allows players to restart from the beginning of any stage they have reached.
