Test Drive: Cycles is a motorcycle racing game where players compete on streets around the globe, including in North America, Indonesia, and the Netherlands. Opponents are not the only hazard on the road, as general traffic must also be navigated.
Progression is tied to a tournament structure with six distinct cups, which become available one after another. Success in races yields both currency for purchasing new bikes and power-ups that enhance performance. These upgrades can be applied repeatedly to areas like acceleration, top speed, traction, and a nitro speed burst system.
Aside from the primary tournament, options include single races, a two-player mode, and a Cop Chase scenario. The game's structure is fair, requiring players to gradually unlock its content through competition.
