CyberTiger Overview
CyberTiger is a handheld adaptation of a console golf title, presenting its cartoony style through 2D graphics. The game offers three distinct 18-hole environments: Grand Canyon, Hawaii, and Mt. Lava. Players view each hole from a top-down perspective for planning, then execute shots using a standard three-click system to determine power and accuracy, with the result shown in an animated sequence from behind the golfer.
Available modes include Career and Strokes, alongside a more competitive Rapid Fire option. In Rapid Fire, two golfers play simultaneously to finish the hole first, and this is the sole mode supporting two-player link cable play. A notable feature is the inclusion of power-ups scattered on the fairway, which are collected when the ball passes over them. These items provide various advantages, such as enabling exceptionally strong shots, deducting a stroke from an opponent, or displacing their ball with a whirlwind.
The Game Boy Color version operates with a reduced scope compared to its console counterparts, featuring a smaller set of courses and overall options.
