Jeff Gordon XS Racing is a Game Boy Color adaptation of a PC title, offering a condensed selection of vehicles and circuits. The game presents two primary modes: one for solo time trials and another for a full championship against AI opponents.
Racing across seven distinct tracks involves navigating hazardous environmental features and jumps, where mistakes can significantly impact a race's outcome. Players select from five different cars before beginning. After completing three championship seasons, a final challenge is unlocked against Team XS.
