Monopoly Overview
Monopoly for Game Boy Color is a portable adaptation of the board game, supporting up to four players with computer opponents filling any vacant positions. Players select from a gallery of eight distinct computer opponents to compete against.
The game provides several preset scenarios with varied starting conditions, such as pre-assigned properties and cash, offering different entry points into a match. However, the ability to manually customize these starting parameters for each player is not present in this handheld version.
Gameplay utilizes an overhead view of the board. Key actions like dice rolls and token movement are shown through animations at the board's center. Transactions such as property auctions and trades are handled on separate, dedicated screens.
