Game Boy Wars 2 is a turn-based strategy title for the Game Boy Color, continuing Nintendo's Wars series. The core conflict involves two opposing military factions, designated as the Red Star and White Moon armies.
Victory on any of the game's fifty-four distinct maps is achieved through one of two primary objectives: eliminating every enemy unit or seizing control of the opponent's capital. Players manage an economy to purchase various military units, including ground troops, vehicles, aircraft, and naval vessels, each possessing unique combat attributes.
These units are mobilized from specific structures on the map; land forces deploy from cities and factories, while airports and harbors handle air and sea units respectively. Direct confrontations between units are resolved through animated battle sequences depicting exchanges of fire.
