Force 21 Overview
Force 21 is a real-time strategy title for the Game Boy Color set in a near-future 2015 where conventional warfare has resumed. Players assume command of either American or Chinese military forces across sixteen varied environments, which include desert, snowfield, and countryside terrains.
The gameplay involves directing eight distinct unit types, such as infantry and air support, to engage enemy forces. Strategic options extend beyond direct confrontation, allowing for the destruction of bridges to impede enemy movement or the use of camouflage and positioning to set ambushes. Capturing important locations provides players with additional intelligence.
An easy to learn interface is designed to facilitate quick entry into the combat scenarios, focusing the player on tactical command rather than complex controls.
