Densha de Go! Overview
Densha de Go! is a train-driving simulation where players operate various trains on different lines, adhering to schedules and operational rules. The experience is built around precise control, requiring stops at exact platform markers and compliance with signals and signage.
A point deduction system penalizes operational errors, with the game ending if the score reaches zero. The initial score value is tied to a selected difficulty setting, making the overall challenge fair but demanding of accuracy. Passenger safety and comfort are additional factors managed during play.
Available routes include the Sagano Main Line between Kameoka and Kyoto, the Keihin-Tohoku Line from Shinagawa to Yokohama, and the Tokaido Main Line connecting Kyoto and Osaka. The Yamanote Line's inner circle from Shibuya to Tokyo Station is also featured. Extended versions of the Sagano and Tokaido lines, which alter station stop patterns, were released exclusively for the Windows platform.
