Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel is a digital adaptation of the card game where players build and battle with decks. Victory in duels awards the opportunity to select new cards from unlocked booster packs. Expanding your collection, accumulating Duelist Points, and repeatedly defeating specific opponents all serve as methods to unlock additional packs for these post-duel selections. A weekly magazine provides five new cards, which can be integrated into your deck immediately or stored for later use.
Tournaments are available on weekends for players situated in the correct location, offering another avenue to win and unlock new cards. The identity of most opponents on the map remains hidden until you engage them in a duel, with only a few known characters at the outset. The game also supports local multiplayer, allowing for linked duels and card trades with friends.
