Yu-Gi-Oh! : The Sacred Cards Overview
Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards for the Game Boy Advance is a digital adaptation of the trading card game set within a tournament framework. The primary objective involves collecting six specific locater cards to gain entry into a competition hosted by Kaiba Corporation, where the ultimate prize is a set of three Egyptian God cards.
Gameplay revolves around dueling numerous opponents found throughout the city. Victory in these card battles can yield new cards for the player's deck, while defeat carries the risk of losing cards already owned. An in-game shop provides an alternative method for acquiring cards without relying solely on dueling outcomes.
A defining system is the duelist level, which gates access to higher-level cards. This prevents players from immediately assembling a deck of the most powerful cards, making the early progression fair. Advancing this level requires consistent success in duels, gradually unlocking stronger cards over time. The game contains a library of over 900 cards and features more than 100 different opponents, including familiar characters from the series who are also vying for tournament victory.
