Onimusha Tactics Overview
Onimusha Tactics is a turn-based strategy game where players command a squad against opposing forces. Each mission allows for a team of up to ten characters, each possessing a standard attack, item usage, and unique combat techniques. A random counter-attack ability, known as issen, can also activate to eliminate an enemy immediately after they strike.
The narrative follows Onimaru, a warrior who learns he is a descendant of the Oni clan. After receiving the Oni Gauntlet, he uses it to absorb the souls of defeated foes. These souls serve as a resource for upgrading the weapons and armor of his party. He is joined by allies, including his sister Ororo, on a quest for vengeance against the demonic forces of Nobunaga Oda.
Equipment management is central to progression. While there is no traditional shop for buying or selling, new gear can be discovered or forged. This forging process requires specific recipes and the fusion of Genma Stones. All enhancements and creations are tied directly to the resources gathered from fallen enemies through the Oni Gauntlet.
