Top Gear GT Championship Overview
Top Gear GT Championship is a licensed racing simulation for the Game Boy Advance based on the Japanese GT series. It presents a third-person perspective of high-speed cars competing on official GT circuits.
Players engage with the simulation through two primary structures. A championship mode requires progressing through a set sequence of tracks while maintaining a standings position. Alternatively, quick races offer isolated competition against the computer, another player, or the clock in time attack. This mode also supports custom course creation.
The racing experience is shaped by several adjustable systems. Vehicle performance can be modified through tuning options for gear ratios, steering, brakes, tires, aerodynamics, and ride height. Environmental conditions include sunny and rainy weather, which directly influences car handling. Opponents are AI-controlled, and the challenge can be adjusted across three difficulty levels.
Pre-race preparations allow for free practice runs and qualifying sessions. A unique feature enables connectivity via mobile phone to access global leaderboards, submit local scores, and download ghost data or additional courses.
