Rocky Overview
Rocky for the Game Boy Advance adapts the narrative of the first five films into a boxing game. Its primary campaign, Movie mode, charts the fighter's rise through twenty cinematic opponents, with story progression unlocked by defeating specific boxers.
Gameplay is structured around a cycle of preparation and combat. Before each bout, players engage in training activities like sparring, heavy bag work, and speed bag drills to manually or automatically raise attributes such as strength and stamina. The matches themselves involve throwing left and right punches, combining them, and evading incoming attacks.
Outside the story, additional options become available. Exhibition mode allows for customized fights using any unlocked boxer, with adjustable settings for venue, round length, and opponent difficulty. Completing the Movie mode opens Knockout mode, a survival-style tournament where fighters compete for championship belts.
