Pocky & Rocky Overview
Pocky & Rocky is set in ancient Japan and features a visual style where characters are depicted in a super deformed manner. Players control either Princess Pocky or her raccoon companion Rocky, with the option for one or two people to play at the same time.
The gameplay involves moving through a series of temple and shrine based stages, defeating enemies before confronting a boss. The experience is considered to be of challenging difficulty. Each character possesses distinct offensive capabilities: Pocky attacks at a distance with playing cards and uses a rod for close quarters, while Rocky fires leaves for range and employs his tail for melee.
Additional defensive techniques are available, such as Pocky's spin attack and Rocky's ability to become an invulnerable statue. Successfully overcoming a stage's boss allows progression to the next level.
