Pac-Man World Overview
Pac-Man World for the Game Boy Advance is an adaptation of a PlayStation title, developed with the constraints of a handheld platform in mind. This resulted in a significantly condensed experience compared to the original.
The narrative presentation was simplified, replacing full motion video sequences with static images and text. Collectible letters now contribute to a completion percentage rather than unlocking video content.
Structural changes are extensive. The game world is more linear, as the hub areas connecting stages have been omitted. The total number of levels was reduced by nearly half, which also led to the removal of specific environments and most boss encounters. Additional modes found in the console version are not present in this portable iteration.
