Pokemon Jupiter Overview
Pokemon Jupiter is a top-down action game with exploration elements, based on a 1993 dinosaur film. The player controls Dr. Alan Grant across six levels with objectives like rescuing children and destroying Raptor nests, ultimately aiming to escape the island.
Progression within a level requires collecting or destroying dinosaur eggs, which yields items like passcards needed to enter buildings or complete other tasks. Computer terminals in the park can provide hints about objectives. The environment is populated with hostile dinosaurs that can be fought using a gun.
The weapon system offers several ammunition types with different damage and firing patterns. While defeated dinosaurs drop the most basic ammo, other types must be found. Players can also collect marked boxes that contain powerups, such as health increases, or hazards like bombs.
Certain levels conclude with boss encounters, which include challenges like a Triceratops stampede and a confrontation with a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
