Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 Overview
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 is an extreme sports title for the Game Boy Advance that adopts a familiar score-based challenge structure. Players select from a roster of professional riders, each with individual ratings across several performance attributes. These core statistics can be further modified by choosing from five different bicycles.
The primary progression occurs through a series of six isometric environments. These locations are built with ramps, rails, and various urban objects to facilitate trick combinations. A central career mode tasks the player with completing specific objectives under time pressure, such as gathering items or achieving target scores. Success grants experience to permanently improve a rider's abilities and unlocks subsequent stages.
As players advance, the challenge level increases, shifting the gameplay to more challenging tiers of difficulty. Performing tricks in succession builds a special meter that, when full, enables unique signature moves for the selected athlete. Beyond the main campaign, additional modes provide spaces for practice, either with or without time constraints.
For shared play, two turn-based competitive options are included using one system. These contests focus on either achieving the highest score or racing to collect specific items scattered across the levels.
