Magical Houshin is a Game Boy Advance role-playing game where a treasure hunt by students Sora, Marin, and Saiten inadvertently releases demons. These demons seek the Book of Paopee, an artifact the students found, and aim to resurrect a powerful entity named Dakki. The central quest involves stopping this demonic threat to the human world.
Gameplay involves standard JRPG exploration of towns and services, with progression relying on random turn-based battles and stat improvement through experience. A defining system involves collecting resources to create Paopee boxes. These golden boxes act as supplementary combat units, but their deployment in battle consumes the party's magic points.
