The Backyard Overview
The Backyard is an educational software title designed for very young children. Its interactive environment is a single, detailed backyard scene where every visible element responds to a click with either a playful animation or a simple activity.
This title forms part of a trilogy of toddler-focused games, following The Playroom and The Treehouse. The activities within it are built to foster early learning skills. These include recognizing animals, understanding numbers and letters, and connecting words to the facial expressions they represent. Another developmental area supported is the basic interpretation and creation of maps.
