Stormlord is a platform-adventure where the player's objective is to rescue kidnapped fairies to undo a curse placed by Queen Badh. The journey involves navigating through levels containing various obstacles and enemies.
Gameplay combines exploration with action, requiring the player to both avoid and confront threats such as dragons and environmental hazards. Certain areas are inaccessible without assistance from an eagle named Mael Dvin. Successfully completing a main level grants access to a bonus shooting segment where points are earned.
