M1 Tank Platoona Overview
M1 Tank Platoon is a DOS game set in a European conflict against Warsaw Pact forces. Players manage a combined arms force that includes tanks, anti-aircraft units, aircraft, artillery, and infantry.
Command can be exercised from a tactical map overseeing all units, or the perspective can shift to a first-person view from inside any of the four primary M1 tanks. From there, the player can directly assume the roles of driver, gunner, or commander.
The crew members of the tank platoon are not static; their skills improve over time as they survive engagements. This simulation offers control at both a broad strategic level and within the detailed confines of an individual vehicle.
