Heaven’s Dawn Overview
Heaven's Dawn is a fantasy adventure presented from a third person perspective. Its visual interface is framed as a painting on an easel, with a bag of brushes providing access to game options and a note serving as a task list. Player interaction involves a floating, scrollable inventory that reveals item descriptions when dragged over the protagonist.
The narrative premise involves a heavenly being defying a divine decree to erase sinful humanity. To break the resulting curse, her servant retrieves Jeremy, a New York painter, from another dimension. After a strange encounter with an old man who vanishes, Jeremy finds himself in a desolate palace where diaries hint at a vanished king and his daughter, Cassandra. The land is decaying and its inhabitants disappearing, a situation Jeremy must resolve to return home.
Gameplay consists of various puzzles and includes some mini games, such as a slider puzzle, that do not demand quick reflexes. A world map for travel becomes accessible during later stages. The audio design features music and sound effects, with spoken dialogue reserved for the introduction and conclusion. Players can save their progress using a limit of seven slots.
