Future Classics Collection Overview
Future Classics Collection is a compilation of five distinct titles that blend action and strategy elements. The development team previously contributed to projects for Cinemaware and MicroProse.
Players can engage with each title alone, with two players alternating turns, or with two players competing simultaneously. A head-to-head split-screen mode is available, and solo players can face one of three computer-controlled opponents.
The included games cover a wide range of concepts. One involves navigating a battlefield to capture an enemy emblem while evading turrets and explosives. Another tasks the player with clearing junk food from stores by collecting crates and disposing of them, while managing health risks by avoiding unhealthy items and using exercise equipment.
Other entries feature maze navigation to find exit keys while gathering power-ups, and a disk collection game where hazards must be avoided to deposit disks into a drive. A block-stacking puzzle game offers an isometric perspective and allows piece selection under time pressure, though rotation is limited to a single axis.
