Command H.Q. Overview
Command H.Q. is a real time strategy game designed for one versus one competition. Players can engage in either global conquest or more limited conflicts, with the option to save and replay sessions as a complete recording. This replay feature even allows a match to be observed up to a specific moment before taking direct control.
The strategic scope evolves significantly based on the chosen historical or futuristic setting. Earlier scenarios, such as 1918, are limited to land and naval warfare. Later periods introduce progressively more complex elements, with 1942 adding aircraft and carriers, while 1986 and 2023 incorporate nuclear weapons, satellite technology, resource management, and diplomatic options.
Opponents can be either human, requiring a direct modem or serial connection between two computers, or one of five distinct AI difficulty levels. The game supports user created battle scenarios, providing tools for custom layouts beyond the included time periods.
