Bushido Overview
Bushido: the Way of the Warrior is a fighting game set in feudal Japan where the player uses unarmed combat to navigate a series of locations. These areas, including a courtyard and a dojo, are defended by Samurai warriors armed with weapons like katanas. The player also encounters various animal adversaries such as snakes and birds during the mission to retrieve treasure items and progress.
Combat is managed through three distinct control modes, each mapping the nine numpad keys to different martial arts maneuvers. This system allows for a range of acrobatic and offensive actions like backflips, spinning punches, and flying kicks. The game offers ten difficulty settings, with one being a challenging practice mode that allows free execution of these moves without enemy interference.
