Bumpy Overview
Bumpy is a game where the player controls a head that moves by bouncing. The objective on each screen is to collect every item, after which an exit becomes available to proceed. Movement involves directing the head left or right while also controlling the height of its bounce, a mechanic comparable to that seen in Mappy.
The environment consists of bouncy platforms, most of which are standard. Some platforms possess special properties; for instance, certain ones can be destroyed to open new paths. Others are hazardous, like platforms on fire, which are fatal unless the player has first collected a protective water droplet.
This title later received a 16-bit remake titled Pop-Up, which was subsequently ported back to the Amstrad CPC. It is the first entry in a series featuring its central character.
