Bug Bomber Overview
Bug Bomber is a game set within the intricate circuitry of a computer, where the player's objective is to eliminate an infestation of bugs. The player controls a character equipped with several types of deployable weapons, including bombs, mines, and tracking hatchlings.
While sharing a foundational similarity with Dynablaster, the game expands on the formula by offering multiple attack methods. The specific weapon deployed is determined by the direction held on the joystick when firing. Power-ups are available in the form of EN symbols to replenish energy and IQ symbols to enhance the tracking capability of the hatchlings. Strategic placement of blockades is necessary, but carries the risk of trapping the player's own character.
The single-player mode provides three lives, with an additional life awarded for completing each of the fifty levels, suggesting a challenging progression. Multiplayer supports both cooperative play to clear the bugs together and a competitive free-for-all mode reminiscent of Dynablaster.
