Brutal Sports Football Overview
Brutal Sports Football is a DOS sports title where excessive violence is central to the competition. Teams of eleven, comprising humans and aliens with distinct abilities, compete in seven-minute matches with the primary objective of scoring goals. However, a match can also be won by decapitating all but one player on the opposing side.
The gameplay is rife with combat, including punching, stomping, and weapon use, which is frequent rather than incidental. An oval ball can be thrown or kicked, often leading to high, aerial plays. Various items appear on the field to aid or hinder players, such as bombs, speed-boosting rabbits, and slowing tortoises.
Players can choose between a single match, a knockout cup, or a progression through four leagues. The presentation emphasizes copious blood and dismemberment, creating a tone of gruesome humor.
