The Ren & Stimpy Show: Fire Dogs Overview
The Ren & Stimpy Show: Fire Dogs is a Super Nintendo game adapted from a television episode. Players initially control Stimpy, navigating a firehouse to locate specific objects under a time limit. These items, which include unusual finds like a beaver, must eventually be loaded onto a fire truck.
Movement involves jumping, climbing stairs and poles, and collecting objects. The environment presents hazards like fires, which can be extinguished with water, and a pursuing fireman. A disguise mechanic allows Stimpy to avoid detection by painting himself to resemble a dalmatian.
Successfully completing the collection phase leads to two brief bonus stages. The first is a thirty-second search for the character Ren, followed by another half-minute round where bags of cat litter must be bounced into a container.
A subsequent level changes the gameplay, requiring both Ren and Stimpy to work together using a trampoline. Their goal is to catch falling items from a burning building before time expires. The overall structure involves surviving a series of such daily challenges across a virtual week to earn an in-game reward.
