Manchester United Championship Soccer is a sports simulation for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game includes a roster of seventy two European clubs, with six of these teams becoming available through gameplay progression.
Its season mode involves a schedule of six matches. For each of these fixtures, the opponent is selected at random from a pool of twenty three possible teams. Before a match begins, the player must handle managerial duties such as setting the team formation and tactical strategy, working with a squad of eighteen players.
Once these preparations are complete, control shifts to the field for the match itself, where the player directly commands the team during play.
